The city of Lisbon has welcomed a new groundbreaking cultural space called 8 Marvila, which promises a unique mix of art, entertainment and community engagement. Located in the historic Abel Pereira da Fonseca wine warehouses in the district of Marvila, this great 22,000 square meter venue is an exciting addition to the city’s wide cultural landscape.
A unique cultural experience in Lisbon
8 Marvila is the new place to go when you’re in Lisbon and opened its doors on September 20th in 2023. The opening marked the beginning of a new era for the iconic 1910-built warehouses. The space is set to host a variety of cultural events and particularly those with an alternative flair. Last year for example, the Spot Market organized its first lifestyle market in 2024 at 8 Marvila in Lisbon. The event was well visited in this historic location and there will for sure be more events in the future. The location of 8 Marvila aims to be a diverse cultural hub, offering wine tastings in a special cellar, lively nights in its disco and sports fun with nine padel courts.
