One of the best things is that the Chocolate Festival in Porto is totally free for visitors. Deep dive into ‘The Chocolate Story’ at WOW museum

Apart from the festival, the WOW museum also houses ‘The Chocolate Story’ which is one of the world’s best chocolate museums. Here, visitors are on a sensorial adventure, tracing chocolate’s 5,000-year journey: from its early status as a drink in Central America to its evolution into the beloved bars in Europe.

During the exhibition, you will discover the life of cocoa farmers, the history of chocolate and the entire production process. A highlight is the fully operational chocolate factory visit of the brand Vinte Vinte, where you can see the real-time production from cacao into chocolates. And yes, tasting is of course also part of the experience!
