In the world of professional volleyball, few names resonate as strongly in Portugal as Marta Hurst. Born in Porto, Marta’s journey in volleyball began in her hometown with the local club GDC Gueifães. There, she celebrated her first achievements including a second place in the Portuguese league in 2012 as well as reaching the national cup final in 2013. These achievements were just the beginning of a remarkable career.
Volleyball journey across Europe
Marta’s passion and skills in volleyball have taken her across Europe. After her initial success in Portugal, she went to play for teams in Spain, Italy and Germany. Her international career not only showcases her adaptability, but also her commitment to excel at the highest levels of the sport. Currently, Marta Hurst is continuing her volleyball journey in Hungary, where she brings her unique style and energy to the team of Kaposvári Női Röplabda Club.
A source of inspiration outside of the court

Her drive to constantly improve and give more than 100% extends beyond her athletic endeavors. Marta is dedicated to spread positivity and motivation which makes her an influential role model in and out of the sports arena.

In October last year, Marta launched her first own podcast, “2PointDifference.” The podcast offers fans and followers unique insights into the life of a professional volleyball player. Through her podcast, she shares personal stories, challenges, and triumphs, allowing listeners to step into her world.
