Historic elegance meets floral charm at Pergola

Every room in the hotel is named after a flower and is located on the first and second floor of the historic building. With 15 rooms in total, the team of the Pergola Boutique Hotel wants to assure that everyone has a beautiful stay. The hotel itself is an old, restored family house with an historic garden in the historic centre of Cascais. It’s only a short walking distance from the beach and you can already feel the fresh breeze coming from the sea.

Once in the room, we fall direct in love with it. The colours and flowers on the walls were matching the beautiful garden and made us feel in a field of fresh flowers. The lavender room is a very cozy room with a lot of bright light shining in and has a balcony overlooking the colourful garden. Be assured that it’s the most beautiful garden in an antique traditional family house you will ever find. By the way, the Pergola Hotel opened to the public in 1985 and was the first accommodation in Cascais.

From porridge to pancakes: Gluten free and seasonal breakfast selection

Moreover, the breakfast was without doubt the best and heathiest breakfast we experienced.  With an à la carte breakfast, we were able to order individual homemade and organic plates from a seasonal selection. Our favourite ones were the porridge and pancake bowl with yoghurt and seasonal fruits. Both dishes were incredibly delicious and even gluten free, so that we ordered it almost every morning during our stay.

Furthermore, the made to order breakfast is served at the Bougain Restaurant and Garden Bar, which is in the beautiful historical building and garden of the Pergola House. It’s one of the best restaurants in Cascais, where you can enjoy the most timeless dishes of Portuguese, Italian and French cuisine.
